Octavine


Octavine came into the test group not doing anything to lose weight.  She didn’t stay that way for long.  She immediately started walking A LOT!  She now walks over 10,000 steps every day.  She also started taking advantage of her YMCA membership and works out there 3 or more times each week.  She learned to keep her calories in check by using her journal, and she lost 12 pounds in just 11 weeks!!  She was one of the biggest losers of the test group.  Octavine also got her family in on the act.  Her kids walk and workout with her, and she got her mom to wear a pedometer and increase her daily steps.

Barbara


Barbara was another test group member.  She had already been working VERY hard and had lost quite a bit of weight before joining More is Less, but I was able to help her fine tune things a bit.  Her favorite part of the group was being accountable to other people.  She saw how that made a big difference for her.  She also learned that writing down her food intake made her be more consistent with her program.  She was actually not eating enough some days.  Barbara also lost 12 pounds in 11 weeks and was one of the biggest losers of the group.

Dory


Dory was a member of the 11 week test group that started More is Less.  She had many unhealthy habits that she needed to change and lacked the motivation to change them.  Even though it took her a while to make many big changes, she still managed to lose 5 pounds while in that group.  More importantly than the weight she lost, Dory learned to change her lifestyle.  Now she walks with coworkers at the office and walks with family at home.  She is also eating out less and cooking healthier meals at home.  She even takes her lunch to work everyday!  Dory is on track to lose twice as much weight this year than last year.
